After purchasing a one way ticket to Hawaii from Orange County California in 1991 , Steven discovered the Big Island Lifestyle and new he had found. He has resided in Kona now for almost 20 years. It was a short time after his arrival that he met his wife Lauralynn. They were married a few years later in 1996 and in 2006 their son Evan Macleod Ellison was born. This completed their family picture. When asked about fatherhood, a smile always comes to his face.

Both he and his wife Lauralynn enjoy the outdoors and beach time with family and friends. Sharing the wonderful lifestyle and culture of Hawaii with clients is very important to them. Steven has been studying "slack-key" guitar and ukulele and enjoys playing music for friends and visiting guests. Together they enjoy the many activities that Kona’s balmy weather has to offer including surfing and tennis. 

Steven’s  love for the island doesn’t just stop at watching sunsets or days at the beach. He and his family actively participate in many community events and are often seen fundraising for Charities and annually hold fundraisers at their residence. Since 2007 Steven has been an active participant and fundraiser for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. They are also active supporters of the Hawaii Island Humane Society and Full Life.  Steven and Lauralynn hold a fundraiser annually for various charities that raise money. The Event is hosted at their residence in Kona.

Although not a participant himself  Steven and Lauralynn have  been a race volunteers for the Kona Ironman World Triathlon for the last 18 years. This Ironman is considered to be the “Superbowl” of world triathlons and brings thousands of spectators and athletes to Kona.

Having been a top producing agent with Clark Realty for the past several years, Steven attributes his success to the many referrals from his clientele as well as their repeat business. Steven has many “Family” clients that include multi generations.

Steve truly enjoys connecting with Buyers to find the perfect property. "My clients have a mental image of their family's dream property in Hawaii. My job is to translate those dreams into the perfect Hawaii Home." He also feels that being personally invested in real estate is critical to keeping on top of the ever changing market. Steven and Lauralynn have personally owned 11 properties since 2001

With the many properties they have owned Lauralynn’s expertise with interior design and staging has been extremely valuable. Her eye for improving homes has not only accounted for the success and sales of their personal properties, but of Steven’s clients as well.

Steven's philosophy in his real estate business is to "Always deliver more than his clients expect." His enthusiasm is contagious!
